June PC meeting
As stated on the Agenda for tonight's Parish Council Meeting, the meeting tonight is at the village hall, and is our first face-to-face meeting since the start of the covid restrictions.
Whilst we are not all comfortable with holding an in-person meeting at the present time, and presumably some of you reading this feel the same, we are unfortunately instructed by LRALC to begin such meetings, as otherwise we run the risk of running foul of local government guidelines (it should be noted that LRALC also advise that by holding an in-person meeting, we also run the risk of being prosecuted for holding a public meeting... as you can see, we are an an impossible position).
We will be adhering to the Village Hall covid-secure rules this evening. In short, this means that the total number off people present in the hall will be a maximum of 30; social distancing will be maintained, masks will be worn by the public, all doors and windows will be open, and there will be no congregating or mixing in the hall / toilet or parking areas.
There will be 4 parish councillors and 1 clerk this evening (Cllr Ball will be absent). Assuming that Cllrs Browne and Orson attend, this means that there will be a maximum of 23 members of the public permitted to attend.
If more than 23 people wish to attend the meeting tonight, the meeting will be adjourned and an alternative date and venue will be proposed, so that everyone who wishes to do so, may attend the June PC Meeting.
Please respect the rules if you attend this evening. In particular, please wear a mask at all times. If you wish to speak during the public participation part of the agenda, please raise your hand, and when invited to speak, please go to the chair/area located specifically for this purpose, where you may remove your mask and address the meeting. This is to protect those around you, and the councillors.
The Parish Councillors will not wear masks, to allow them to speak, but will be positioned so as to be at least 3m away from the public.
Members of the public must remain socially distanced throughout the meeting - unless from the same household, in which case they may sit next to each other.
Please register your attendance on entry using the QR Code at the entrance, and/or by registering with the clerk.
We thank you for your patience as we try to ensure that tonight's meeting goes as smoothly and as safely as possible.
