Section 106 presentation

At the Parish Council meeting on January 9th at 7.30 pm, there will be a presentation by MBC on Section 106 and how it relates to local projects.

Neighbourhood Plan hearing

The hearing for the Neighbourhood Plan examination is to take place on 12th December at 9.30 in the village hall. The public are welcome to attend to show their support. However the public will not be permitted to speak.

Planning presentation

On 24th October 2017 MBC planning officers came and made a presentation to the village regarding the planning procedures in Melton.

The parish Council is organising a public meeting to discuss the revised application 16/00740 Water Lane and the detailed planning application for Great Lane. The meeting is being held on Tuesday 28th November at 7.30 in the village hall.

Frisby Neighbourhood Plan

The Frisby Neighbourhood plan is currently undergoing examination. The examiner, Mr John Slater, has decided to hold a public hearing to help him in his examination. The dates are December 12th and January 11th. Melton Planning Process

With all the recent planning applications in the village, the Parish Council felt that it can some times be confusing as to the what the official process is for dealing with planning applications. With that in mind the PC have invited MBC planning department to come along and make a presentation on the planning system. Wreake Valley Way rangers scheme

The Oakham and Melton Waterway Society is attending the Parish Council meeting on 12th September 2017. They will update the meeting on their work on the Wreake Valley Way and introduce their Rangers Scheme. We hope as many residents as possible will attend to hear about their work in the area and to hear about the Rangers Scheme.

Melton Borough Council Local Plan Consultation

Melton Borough Council are currently consulting on the focused changes to the plan. The consultation period runs from 13th July to 23rd August. There a series of drop in sessions. Melton Borough Council planning committee

The planning application for 16/00704 land to the South of Frisby (Cooks site) is being presented to the Melton Borough Council Planning Committee on Thursday 27th July at 6.00 pm in the Civic Suite at Melton Borough Council offices. The officers recommendation for this application is for approval. The Parish Council, the Borough Councillor and a local resident will all be taking the opportunity to speak for 3 minutes on the application.. Read More »
