We hope you find this update on our Parish Council's activities over recent months useful.
About the Parish Council Frisby-on-the-Wreake is a picturesque, vibrant village three miles west of Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire. With 240 households and a population of over 600, it is able to maintain an excellent primary school, popular pub and restaurant, a well-attended church, an enterprising shop and post office, a modernised Methodist Church, a pre-school and a very active social life centred around the recently extended village hall and other public buildings. In 2005 our village was adjudged Village of the Year in Leicestershire and won the classes for best village hall (joint winner), best village venture, building community life (joint winner) and best village with a population of 501 to 1000. Frisby-on-the-Wreake has been a civil parish, with its own Parish Council, since May 2005. Prior to that it was combined with Kirby Bellars for many years as the Frisby & Kirby Parish Council. The new council has five members and meets approximately once every two months in the Methodist Centre at 7.30pm. Members of the public are encouraged to attend
meetings, and may address the council during the 15-minute public participation
session. Click on the link
